Crumbling brick ruins are all that remain of the Brierfield Ironworks, which were destroyed in raids by Union Army cavalry in March 1865. Special events include a reenactment of the Civil War raid, music festivals, country craft fairs, and many holiday events. Cabins and camp sites are available at this state park.
