The Bankhead National Forest contains 180,000 acres of public land which includes the fabulous Sipsey Wilderness, home to miles of canyons and 100 waterfalls. Four recreation areas are located throughout the forest, offering a wide range of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, camping, canoeing, and picnicking. The park is located between the towns of Decatur, Cullman, and Jasper.
