Learning a martial art for the purpose of self-defense is reason enough to join, but that is only part of the program. You will also benefit physically through weight control, increased stamina, increased fitness, and better coordination; mentally through improved concentration, reduced stress, relaxation, and a positive attitude; and personally through increased self-confidence, self-defense, self-esteem, and self-control.
