This 7,000 acre refuge protects and preserves the unique plants and animals of the Gulf Coast. Visitors can hike the scenic, four mile Pine Beach Trail or the one mile Jeff Friend Trail loop, fish for bass, bluegill, and bream in the 40-acre freshwater Gator Lake and see a large migratory bird stopover in April, May, September, and October, while this park on the Fort Morgan peninsula and Little Dauphin Island.
