Highlights of Fort Toulouse - Fort Jackson Park include the recreated 1751 Fort Toulouse, recreated Creek Indian houses, the partially restored 1814 American Fort Jackson, a 1,000 year old Indian mound, 39-site RV campground, and the William Bartram Nature Trail. Fort Toulouse - Fort Jackson Park is host to Alabama Frontier Days in November, one of the largest living history events in the state; the French and Indian War Encampment in April, and living history weekends every month. The Park is open daily except Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, and some state holidays.
