There is little that's "elegant" about the Tea Room. The ceiling is composed of stained drop-down tiles. The chairs are tacky hotel banquet hall and old-style Holiday Inn rejects. Lunch tickets go up on a diner-style bar, where the cook slams down the orders and hollers out what's ready. The service is poor, and the menu is limited. We waited twenty minutes to have our orders taken (and still had no sign of a waitress coming) on a recent visit before we decided to find lunch elsewhere. I'm glad we did; the Tea Room just smelled bad, more like a school cafeteria on a bad day than a good restaurant. You have other options in Heber Springs. I'd select one of them.
