Considered to be the best of its time, the restored Spanish Renaissance-style Fordyce Bathhouse features a marble and stained glass transom filled lobby, stained glass ceiling in the Men's Bath Hall, marble partitions, a bowling alley, and a gymnasium. Reopened as the park visitor center in 1989, after closing in 1962, visitors are able to view exhibits, watch a nine-minute film, and tour dressing, therapy, bathing, and music rooms. It was named as a lesser-known hotspot by Rand McNally.
