Only two of Blanchard Springs Caverns' three levels are open for guided tours. Three tours, the Dripstone National Recreation Trail on the upper level, the longer, more strenuous Discovery National Recreation Trail in the middle level and the Wild Cave Tour, which takes visitors to the undeveloped sections of the middle level; are offered. The main mineral deposited in the speleothems of Blanchard Springs Caverns is calcite, the same mineral found in the limestone layers that make up the bedrock of the Ozark Mountains.
