The Tubac Historical Society is an all-volunteer, member-supported organization with a staff that's passionate about the region's distinctive history. The Tubac Historical Society Library & Gift Shop or The Elizabeth R. Brownell Research Library & Gift Shop is located in an old adobe on the Northeast side of Placita de Anza in the historical district. It contains over 3,000 volumes on Arizona and Southwestern history, books by local authors, historical and current maps of the area, rare books and documents, a heritage center, and much more.
