I have a son that was enrolled in High School. He refused to go to school even after I would drop him off at the front gate. The school played it up that if he went to community school they would be better equipped to handle this situation. So I agreed only to find out that this was all lies. Now its to late to go back to High School. Then the community school agreed to try something different such as Home study. Went to orientation at a different community school to find out that they were full until the Fall. No one can give me any direction or ideas of have to get my son enrolled in school. He may not be able to even go back to the community school he was in because now they are full. Please help me find answers. He needs to be back in a regular school so I can get the help and resources that they offer. Everyone keeps telling me to call the police well that doesn't work either the officer calls you and says what do you what me to do. Everyone is just washing their hands of the problem and not trying to fix the problem. I don't want to go to jail, can't afford tickets because of his behavior. Even called probation. There is nothing anyone can do unless he is a really bad kid. Went through a SARP hearing thinking that would get my son a the right track. Sorry to say that was a joke. Called the probation office and the woman I spoke with said she was shocked because usually the kids don't come out of their feeling to good. My son came out thinking the whole process was a funny joke and said I told you they weren't going to do anything. No consequences at all District Attorney said he would call the school a regular basis to make sure he was going. Well he has been out of school for awhile now and I haven't heard a word. Everyone has these great threats with nothing to back them up. So in the mean time what are we as parents that really do care suppose to do. I certainally don't want to go to jail I have pulled at every avenue that I can think of. I just think there should be more and better help for these kids instead of waiting until they become the really bad kids and its to late then go to jail. There has got to be a better solution. Heck the kids on probation get better help than the kids not. And the only way to get kids on probation is for them to hurt someone, steal or worse. I am trying to stop all that by trying to act now and there is nothing out there.
