A popular place for surfing and fishing for perch, corbina, croaker, cabezon and sand shark, this 330-acre beach is also popular in the summer for bare-handed fishing for California grunion, a species that only spawns on sandy southern California beaches. The beach extends three miles from Seal Beach to Huntington Beach City Pier and a bikeway connects it with Huntington State Beach, seven miles south. The beach is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Overnight camping at the RV campground is available.
