The owner of the dam store destoyed the lake for his pocket book. It use to be a great place to go, but now too exspensive, no fish, and he smokes in his own store/bar.

I was at little rockdam in June 2011 and it appears that the owner is doing whatever he wants.

He sectioned off the picnic area and is charging extra for its use.

If you want shade you have to pay extra!

He also charges extra to go fishing in certain areas.

There was no toilet paper in the toilet!

Entrace to the area was free, now there is a parking charge. The ticket taker looked really unprofessional.

The dam grill is no longer a grill but a run down office area.

The place does not look like its run properly and does not reflect the US Forest service.

I suggest that someone else take over the operations.

I would not go too little rock dam ca they have not stocked this dam so there are no fish there I think the last time they stocked this dam was in 2007 and everything that Addy is saying is true. They charge outrageous prices for there boat rentals because the DFG closed the boat ramp.

This place is disgusting! Trash everywhere along what they call the beach area floating cans, used toliet paper and allot of trash. The water smelled awful didnt go swim at all. The grill was ruined my appetite, it smelled like cigarette smoke. The cashier/cook took our order while smoking then went and cooked our burgers without even washing his hands! The burgers were not good didnt even finish them and the beers were not cold. I would never go to this place again. This place actually made silverwood look like a resort.

I been going tho the dam for a while I have fun, it can be durty sometimes but someone has to clean right. Maybe thats why th ed owner is charging now, but I agree he might be over charging I heard his charging 10 per car and + 3 per person in the car is that true. If it is I aint going thats too much I would pay $5 thats it not much to do just to bbq and sit next to the lake to refresh.

on October 13, 2011 I went to this site little rock dam on Palmdale for my surprise end my family the recreational place is death, the beautiful dam is empty, no bouts, no people, no fishing.... that place is done! so please get information before you go there.... sorry

Palmdale Water District emptied the dam. It has a tiny bit of water in it and it's open for 4x4 trucks to go muddin'. It's about time they emptied it out cause that water was disgusting, made me smell from being in it. Last time they emptied it was 4 years ago.

Went 2 days ago. been going there since I was 3 years old with my family. used to be free/clean/fun lots of water. now whoever has taken it over has destoryed it. lots of family memeories there and now we dont want anything to do with it. Front gate lady was rude because I said that was alittle to much for 2 people to get in 11 dollars ? are you kidding? but we havent been there in 3 years so we thought we would check it out. deff. not ever stepping foot in that place again.
