One of California's oldest mineral societies, this society is dedicated to promoting interest in and increasing knowledge and understanding of mineralogy and the related sciences and lapidary and the related arts. They organize field trips designed to encourage the study of geological formations and to collect and preserve minerals as they occur in nature.
