Situated on 18 acres in the lush hills of Saratoga, overlooking Silicon Valley, Hakon is the oldest Japanese-style residential gardens in the Western Hemisphere. Named for Fuji-Hakone National Park and modeled after the estates in Japan's Hakone region, Hakon offers docent guided tours, a Zen meditation garden, bamboo garden, tea garden, hill and pond garden, classes on the Japanese tea ceremony, group cultural programs, an arched footbridge over a Koi pond with waterlilies and a cascading waterfall, and more.
