The Contemporary Gallery is quickly becoming the focal point for the finest collection of emerging artists. “The artists represented are not the typical artists you would find at a typical gallery in Los Angeles either,” says Shore. She feels as though these artists are worthy of recognition, and she promotes their gift by placing them beside the 19th and early 20th century gallery and advertising them to the national audience. “There is something to be said about the standards in the world of art today,” says Shore, adding “It’s hard to find artists today that are able to stand next to the great artists of the past.” That is, however, exactly what she has done. “I look for originality in an artist’s paintings; qualities that are unique to a specific artist are what draws my attention to them.
