Open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Limon Heritage Museum & Railroad Park features the 1910 Limon Depot, Exhibit Building, and the Railroad Park. The Limon Depot houses the town’s extensive Houtz Native American collection and the permanent “Trains on the Plains” exhibit. Adjacent to the Limon Depot, the Railroad Park contains antique machinery, vintage windmills, a playground, gardens and picnic tables. An old-time store, a barbershop, prairie kitchen, changing exhibit gallery, Limon’s famous weather station, a full-size Cheyenne tipi, an antique sheepherder’s wagon and fine vintage photography are just some of what can be found in the Exhibit Building.
