Founded in 1936, as part of the St. Vrain Historical Society, the Longmont Museum & Cultural Center features four exhibit galleries, three classrooms for special events and programs that are held throughout the year, and an outdoor courtyard. Long-term exhibits on the history and culture of Longmont and the St. Vrain River Valley are housed in the Longmont Gallery and the Longs Peak Room. Changing exhibits that include items relating to history, art and science can be seen in the Colorado Gallery and the St. Vrain Gallery.
