Once a small family-owned dairy farm, this town owned and operated park consists of 104 acres of wooded hills and grassy fields with streams, a two-acre pond, wet meadows and an upland swamp. A butterfly/hummingbird garden, an award-winning woodland wildflower and fern garden, trails, soccer, baseball and softball fields, a playground and more can be enjoyed at the Ansonia Nature & Recreation Center. The interpretive center is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for major holidays.
