Home of the Derby Historical Society, the David Humphreys House is the birthplace of the aide-de-camp for George Washington during the American Revolution, our nation’s first ambassador to a foreign country and founder of one of America’s first ‘factory villages’ in modern day Seymour. A museum dedicated to its famous resident and the community he called home, the David Humphreys House is open every weekday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
