Situated on two beautifully landscaped acres among established perennial gardens and fruit trees, ten minutes from the University of Connecticut, the historic Daniel Rust House provides several common rooms and four guest rooms that come complete with queen-size canopy beds, private baths and fireplaces. A full country breakfast is served every morning between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. The Bird In Hand was licensed as a tavern from 1800 to 1832. The original sign now hangs in the CT Historical Society Museum in Hartford.
