My family and I just ate at Olio and it was fabulous!!!!!!The atmosphere was warm and sophisticated. Our hostess was friendly and our waitress Jen was very nice and Knowledgable about menu offerings.Jen suggested a Cucumber Martini that was out of this world and want the mixology recipie for. For starters we shared the fried Calamari which both my husband and i agreed was the best we ever had and that says as we are from the far end of Eastern Long Island that is known for it's great fresh seafood. The calamari was crispy on the outside and perfectly seasoned and buttery tender on the inside and complimented by a slightly smokey chipotle sauce and and a fresh mild salsa.The warm fresh bread was served with warm olive oil with herbs and dusted with shavings of parmesan cheese. Main courses consisted of a perfectly executed cheddar cheeseburger served with real pom-de-frits that my son couldn't eat fast enough. Also sampled was a stuffed shrimp dish with perfectly cooked green beans and homemade mashed potatoes. I, myself enjoyed the chicken breast coated with crispy pannko and sandwhiched between the breasts was gorganzola cheese with crispy panchetta bits on top of mashed potatoes along with green beans, a velvety wine sauce and portabella mushroom cap. We were so stuffed that we just didn't have room for dessert but I'm sure we would have found an equally delish offerings.. Presentation and execution were spot on. Our tab came to just under $86.00 and was very reasonable.I would eat there again and definitely reccomend a visit!
