The Washington residence of art collector Marjorie Merriweather Post from 1955 to 1973, this extate is known for having the most comprehensive assemblage of Russian Imperial art outside of Russia, as well as a world-reowned collection of 18th century French decorative arts. The estate is nestled upon 25 gorgeous acres, twelve of which are enchanting formal gardens including a Japanese style garden and a French parterre.
