Designed to resemble a Greek temple, this grand monument overlooks the Reflecting Pool and is a 19 foot marble statue of the 16th United States President. The statue has 36 Doric columns, one for each state at the time of Lincoln’s death, and is flanked by inscriptions of his Second Inaugural Address and his famous Gettysburg Address.
