A large collection of antique fishing rods and reels, including one constructed of split bamboo with an original Penn Reel that belonged to Ernest Hemingway; the oldest seine fishing boat still in existence, vintage photographs of early Destin settlers, boat captains and their boats, beach scenes, businesses, and more, and award-winning examples of fish caught in Destin can be viewed at the Destin History & Fishing Museum. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the Fall and Spring and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday during the Summer.
