One of the few remaining mature forests in Florida, San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park is home to 18 natural communities which contain many species of hardwood trees, bobcats, white-tailed deer, gray foxes, turkeys, and many types of songbirds. Visitors often enjoy hiking, cross-country biking, and horseback riding in designated areas.
