Florida’s first state preserve, the 21,000-acre Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park is a National Natural Landmark with a rich abundance of wildlife with over 20 distinct biological communities, including alligators, bison, wild horses, and over 270 species of birds. Eight trails, a 50-foot-high observation tower, exhibits, campsites, fishing, and an audio-visual program are all available.
