100 Madison Street
Palatka, FL 32177
386-329-0140
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this imposing landmark home was built by Judge Isaac Bronson, a U.S. Congressman, and the house overlooks the St. Johns River. The house has an interesting history which includes Confederate soldiers using the attic for a lookout when Union forces were approaching on the river during the Civil War, in which the Union troops eventually occupied the building, and the house was also the site for a school for freed slave children after the War.
