Museum of Seminole County History 300 Bush Boulevard, Sanford, FL 32773, 407-321-2489, Comprised of two buildings and situated on two acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, this intimate museum offers a glimpse at Seminole County's agricultural history, as well as life of days gone by, and the museum showcasing a vast collection of period antiques, historical photographs, exhibits of early Florida agriculture and transportation, turn-of-the-century furnishings, a country store, a school room, and a hospital. A library and research room is also on site. 

Big Tree Park 761 General Hutchison Parkway, Sanford, FL 32750, Located in Longwood, 407-788-0405, This property was donated to Seminole County by Senator M.O. Overstreet and dedicated by President Calvin Coolidge in 1929. The park is home to "The Senator," a 3,500 year old, 138 foot bald cypress tree named after Overstreet, which is one of the oldest and largest trees in America.
