Founded by John Ringling in 1931, this private, independent, not-for-profit, four-year college of the visual arts and design is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design, Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. Majors offered include painting, sculpture, printmaking, illustration, motion design, fine arts, digital filmmaking, advertising design, and computer animation.
