Located just south of historic St. Augustine on Anastasia Island, Anastasia State Park has four miles of beach, a tidal salt marsh, maritime and upland hammock, and an archaeological site where coquina rock was mined to create the nearby fortress, Castillo de San Marcos National Monument. Camping, swimming, hiking, fishing, canoeing, picnicking, windsurfing, wildlife-viewing, and kayaking are popular activities at Anastasia State Park.
