The six earth temple mounds found here are evidence of the Native Americans inhabitance on the banks of Lake Jackson more than eight centuries ago. This historic site, once a large ceremonial center, is considered one of the most important archaeological sites discovered in Florida and it has yielded some of the most significant artifacts in the state.
