My party of 11 came for dinner on one of the launch days, we were told the wait would be 25 minutes. 25 min. later we checked on our status & were told they were waiting for 3 tables to clear. Over an hour later we asked again, they fit us right in. The restaurant had many, many empty tables and two large parties who came in after us. It took 45 min. to get the food, so 2 hours later we were able to eat. This place claims to be fine dining? They use imitation ketchup, sweet & low, and everything else. These shortcuts are signs of a business who's bottom line super-cedes quality. The baked beans were cheap canned beans. The BBQ ham was sliced deli meat with sauce on top. The chopped brisket was so mangled that it felt like hamburger meat. The only thing I can complement is the garlic bread. There was no smokehouse smell to the place along with the cheap nasty taste of the food leads me to believe it is precooked frozen garbage! When I spoke to Paul, the owner, about the long wait he didn't care. He claimed that they didn't know we wanted to sit together and that there was no error on their part what so ever. No apology, he didn't care. I asked for a discount due to the inconvenience, he said "NO, if it what any other day besides shuttle launch he would". What does that tell me? He doesn't care about taking care of tourists, which is this town's bread & butter. After discussing this further he reluctantly gave us 10% off. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, not just because of the horrible treatment we received there, but because the food is trash! Hospitals & public schools serve better BBQ than this place.
