An unusual and important archaeological park that covers 1,293 acres and features seven earthen mounds which were built between 250-950 A.D. by the Swift Creek and Weeden Island Indians. The mounds include Georgia's oldest great temple mound, two burial mounds, and four ceremonial mounds. Outdoor activities available on site include camping, fishing, picnicking, boating, and swimming.
