Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this historic site is on the Northwest Georgia's Chieftains Trail and is one of Cartersville's most popular attractions. This site was home to several thousand Native Americans from 1000 to 1500 AD and the largest mound on site stands over 63 feet high and covers three acres. An impressive archaeological museum is also on site that includes dioramas and artifacts from the mounds which tell the story of the mysteriously vanished tribe.
