Used until 1895, this two foot thick walled granite structure features a trap door in the floor of the upper story where prisoners were hanged. Tours are offered by the Greene County Historical Society.

I will be visiting in Greensboro on Oct 28. I'd really like to go into the Gaol and look around. I think it's a fantastic piece of Georgia and American history. Is it possible to take a look around?
