Built as an Inn by Chief William McIntosh, the last structure associated with McIntosh that still stands, this inn is unique and extremely significant to the history of Georgia and it is the only known Antebellum mineral springs hotel in Georgia still standing. The hotel is open as a museum and is surrounded by a formal garden that is reminiscent of the somewhat rare examples of the resort hotel gardens of the early 19th century.
