A National Historic Landmark considered to be one of the most advanced Antebellum homes in America, this magnificent 18,000 square foot Italian Renaissance Revival mansion has been featured on A&E's "America's Castles" and it was inspired by the palazzos of Florence and Rome. The home is filled with beautiful 18th century furnishings and features Italian Carerra marble fireplaces and a music room with a 30 foot clerestory ceiling. A museum gift shop is also on site. Open 7 days a week for tours, Mondays - Saturdays 10-4, Sundays 1-4. Tours every hour with the last one at 3pm daily.
