Founded in 1840, Rose Hill Cemetery is situated among 65 acres next to the Ocmulgee River on the north side of Macon, GA. The oldest and the largest of all 33 cemeteries located within the city, Rose Hill Cemetery is the final resting place of more than a thousand Confederate soldiers, three GA governors, 31 mayors, senators, congressmen, and notable entertainers. Rose Hill Cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
