Filled with museum quality paintings, prints and artifacts, this historic hotel was Savannah's first hotel. It features 68 guest rooms and suites that showcase the hotel's original windows, pine floors, and pedestal sinks. Private baths are in all of the rooms, with some including 19th-century claw foot tubs. All rooms also have luxurious robes, hairdryers, and nightly turndown service. While staying at the hotel, guests have full access to the Downtown Athletic Club, which has a steam room, sauna, whirlpool and workout facilities. A beautiful continental breakfast is served every morning and a wine and cheese reception is held in the evenings, Sunday through Thursday.
