Enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming, and so much more of the great outdoors at this 588 acre barrier island that has both salt and freshwater due to estuaries and marshes that flow through the area. Features of the park include two nature trails, a museum and interpretive center, observation towers, an 88 site campground for RV and tent camping, a children's playground, a Junior Olympic swimming pool, and picnic areas with pavilions.
