Situated deep in the 396,000 acre Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge, this recreation area is known as the eastern access to the wildlife refuge and it is the site of the visitors center. Visitors can rent motorboats and canoes for limited trips along the Suwannee Canal, as well as enjoy both walking and driving trails that offer superb wildlife viewing opportunities, while at this area. Overnight trips also embark from here.
