Housed in a courthouse, which is one of the oldest still remaining in the United States, this museum offers visitors a look at the mining history of Georgia. It chronicles the gold rush and the numerous mines that flourished in these parts. Watch a 23 minute film which describes the mining techniques and lifestyles of the prospectors through interviews with members of long time mining families of the area.
