One of the first and the most impressive Confederate monuments dedicated in the South, the base of this 72 foot monument is granite and the shaft and fine figures are Carrara marble. The four statues on the first section are Generals Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Thomas R.R. Cobb, and William Henry Walker.
