This 1,800 acre park features ancient Hawaiian ruins and burial sites, an exotic flower garden, a botanical garden, and a Hawaiian ethno-botany garden. Garden trails are well marked with the plants labeled and visitors can tour the backcountry while kayaking, horseback riding, ATV exploring, or mountain biking plus participate in activities of the ancient way of Hawaiian life through craft demonstrations, cliff diving, hula dancing, and language lessons.
