Suspension Footbridge
Charles City, IA 50616
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 267-foot bridge over the Cedar River was built originally for local residents to attend Chautauqua celebrations held in the Lion’s Field area. The suspension footbridge, or the "swinging bridge," is the only bridge of its type in the state.

its to bad that the floods of 2008 ripped it away but they are rebuilding it and making it flood proof
