Open year-round, the 17.5 River City Greenbelt and Trail System consists of three trails. Running parallel to an electric trolley line, the Trolley Trail connects Mason City and Clear Lake. The River City Trail links the parks and cultural attractions of Mason City. The Winnebago Trail follows the Winnebago River and leads to the Lime Creek Nature Center. These trails are perfect for hiking, nature viewing, biking, and cross-country skiing. Paved segments are perfect for skating.
