One of the last one-room schoolhouses built in the West Des Moines area, used until 1941, Bennett School has been fully restored to reflect the memories of former students and a teacher. It is located just southeast of Jordan Creek Elementary School. The Bennett School is open to the public from May to September, on the 2nd Saturday of the month, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
