The Devonian Fossil Gorge is the star attraction at this lake. The gorge was created by the flood of 1993 and when the waters receded, the 375 million year old fossilized Devonian ocean floor was revealed. Visitors can make their way down into the gorge to find thousands of fossils laid out at their feet. Enjoy such recreational activities camping, cross country skiing, hiking, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, picnicking, snowmobiling, swimming, and boating while at this lake.
