These prehistoric American Indian burial and ceremonial mounds are located on 2,526 acres of forested land along the Mississippi River and date from 500 B.C. to 1300 A.D. Visitor center on site features an auditorium, museum, bookstore, and displays. There are eleven miles of hiking trails in the park, but there are no roads.
