Northern Pacific Depot Railroad Museum

Once a railroad station, this elegant, chateau styled depot, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, houses a two story museum. The building was completed, at the turn of the century, brick transported from China, and concrete panels made from mine tailings. Get a tastefully-presented twenty-minute tour, of the upper rooms, of this two-story brick building, which began its existence in 1895, as a hotel and saloon, and housed ladies of questionable reput. They left in a hurry, in January 1988, leaving clothing, makeup, toiletries, food and personal items behind. Learn about the town's bawdy past, with stories that are sometimes poignant, hilarious, or simply fascinating.
